Knightsbridge Furniture for New Unit at Belfast City Hospital

Orders have been placed with Yorkshire-based Knightsbridge Furniture for seating, tables and occasional furniture at Belfast City Hospital.

Destined for the specialist Cancer Centre recently opened by Belfast City Hospital Trust, the contract is part of the complete fit-out of the unit, which has transferred from the old Belvoir Park Hospital to the new location on the site of Belfast's former Jubilee Maternity Hospital.

Spread over four phases, the orders placed with Knightsbridge included reception furniture and seating for visitor areas, patient waiting room furniture, and Dining tables and chairs for staff dining rooms, in addition to furniture for consulting and clinical zones. Throughout, the feeling created by the décor and furnishings is one of calm and contemporary living, with high-backed chairs from the Woburn and Islay ranges arranged around Balerno coffee tables and Melrose upholstered suites complementing the airy waiting areas. In the bedrooms, Zeta stacking chairs provide compact and stylish visitor seating, partnered by Arran high-back chairs with drop-arm options for patient and carer convenience.
