Knightsbridge Furniture has welcomed its newest collection, The Cheetah, an extension to the existing Elan soft seating range; designed for challenging environments and healthcare markets.

The face behind the collection, Jason Lansdale, an independent furniture designer based in London, collaborated with Knightsbridge to create pieces of furniture that are designed with healthcare settings in mind. Throughout the process, Jason worked with Knightsbridge from concept to production, utilising hand sketches and revolutionary SolidWorks 3D modelling and rendering. A graduate from Buckinghamshire College in 1995, Jason has a vast bank of knowledge and experience in the field of furniture design. Creating the Cheetah range meant Jason could express his passion for not only creating furniture that looks good but helps the user too and makes everyday life easier for those in challenging environments, something that is also close to Knightsbridge’s heart.

Each product within the collection offers practicality and essential attributes. The one-piece upholstery design eliminates the risk of items being hidden underneath cushions or within the fabric, whilst the innovative design of the upholstery frame allows each piece within the range to be weighted, making it difficult to lift and in turn giving staff and patients peace of mind. With a project like this, each element of the range is carefully considered and crafted to ensure it offers the best possible solution to a number of setting, whether it be care homes, hospices or mental health establishments.

All the team at Knightsbridge are extremely proud of the new range and to have worked with renowned designer, Jason Lansdale, to bring his ideas to life. Combining Jason’s eye for beautiful designs with Knightsbridge’s ethos to provide practical yet stylish pieces to challenging environments has created a collection both parties are proud of.
