Finding furniture that’s suited to a variety of challenging environments can be a struggle. Ensuring models are safe and functional, yet stylish to support an effective and therapeutic environment is key.
Optional weighting for tables, chairs and settees
In order to prevent the risk of patients lifting or moving furniture, you can add optional weighting of up to 90kg to ensure your environment is kept safe. Adding optional weighting does not affect the style of the furniture as the weights are fitted inside the construction of the frame which also means the weighting can not be removed by users. This type of furniture is ideal for lounge, dining and therapy areas.
Reinforced frame structure
The daily demands of a challenging environment can sometimes mean that furniture can be easily damaged. Furniture that features a reinforced frame structure can reduce the possibility of damage. When we manufacture our products for our challenging environment collections, we use non-retractable security screws to eliminate the risk of users removing fittings.
Preventing secretion of items
For particular models, we have removed the gaps from chairs to prevent anything from being hidden by users down the inside of the arms or the back of the seat. In addition to this, we also offer the option to add polycarbonate to the bottom of the frame for extra security to prevent users from storing items underneath an armchair or settee.
We develop our products by working closely with our customers and by conducting regular research. From our initial concepts, all the way through to the finished product, our mental health range is created with the particular needs of healthcare providers and patients in mind.
