The Manhattan manual Chair Bed was designed in-house to fulfil the need for a day-bed in a healthcare or hospitality setting where space was limited. The operation is simple with a lever on the side of the arm to start or stop the mechanism in any position. Unlike other products in the market, it can be operated while sitting in the chair, so can be used as a bed or as a recliner.

It is an extremely versatile product, available in any soft cover or wipeable faux leather.

Features and Benefits

A high-back design to give excellent support and security.
The back position can be locked at any time. This ranges from the upright position to laying flat. Effectively allowing the product to be used as a chair, recliner or chair bed.
The Manhattan allows very easy manual operation with the control lever. Contrary to other models available on the market this level is accessible by the user.
Lockable castors all round for manoeuvrability and stability when in position.
Compact footprint but generous when in the bed position – ideal for areas where space is an issue.

Specification

Inner frame is solid 18mm plywood which is CNC cut and castellated together for accuracy and strength. Glued and screwed together.
Foams – high density CMHR.
All products comply to BS5852 ignition source 5 (crib 5) with Knightsbridge standard range of vinyl and fabric.
