Yorkshire-based furniture manufacturer, Knightsbridge, hosted an exclusive event to unveil its latest creation for the workplace, Spekta, along with celebrating the opening of its first London showroom.

Interior architects were invited to the by Bailey Gallery in Clerkenwell Green to preview the chair alongside Knightsbridge’s wider ranges for corporate and hospitality environments. Knightsbridge has partnered with by Bailey to heighten the profile of its designer workplace collection within the London market.

Created by award-winning designer, David Fox, Spekta has been expertly crafted using solid oak in a bid to bring a natural warmth to the workplace. The chair’s panelled backrest also offers heightened comfort and ergonomic support, to ensure that the chair provides a comfortable seat throughout the day, while the winged design adds a striking aesthetic and an element of privacy, perfect for an office environment.

By incorporating natural materials with a contemporary design, Knightsbridge aims to create furniture that is reminiscent of the home environment to encourage social interaction between colleagues, while increasing productivity and wellbeing for employees.

Commenting on the event, Alan Towns, CEO at Knightsbridge, said: “Partnering with by Bailey Gallery to host this event was the perfect way to launch Spekta to the London market.

“Using our manufacturing and design experience, we’re keen to bring a more considered approach to corporate furniture design, to ensure the pieces that we create suit the environment in which they sit, and support the people for which they are designed. This can often be overlooked within the industry, but it’s an area that we’re keen to champion here at Knightsbridge.”

Spekta complements the firm’s workplace collection, which was officially launched at Clerkenwell Design Week earlier this year. More information about Knightsbridge Furniture is available at www.knightsbridge-furniture.co.uk.
